I LOVE what you put together in the kits! You do this most of the time, but I like having solid cordinating paper- it really ties two prints together.

This are just my thoughts.....

A scrapbooking kit should have the following:

At least 3 different pattern/print papers and 2-3 pieces of each one.

At least 2-3 differnet solid cardstock to coordinate with the pattern/print paper, and again, 2-3 pieces of each.

Coordinating:
- Ribbon (differnet types/styles)
- Stickers
- Brads or other embellishments
- Idea book/samples

I'm sure there are more things others will think of but these things come to my head right away.

Best Wishes,
Heather

I do agree with having coordinating cardstock in each kit along with ribbon, alphas, brads stickers or some other sort of ebellishment or some sort of something to alter. I ahve always wanted to see a kit offer some sort of adhesive ( haven't seen this yet) glue sticks are always good. I use them often, also sometimes paint or glitter and ink, stamps and so on.
I would love to see some of the new acrylics they are great, or glimmer mists so much fun. But I think you ar doing a fine job! Once you get a gallery up and possible a message board the folks will come a flocking!

hugs!!

Obviously I can't figure out how to do links :) Sorry about that. But hopefully you can still see what I am talking about.

I really think what will help the kits and even the product sell is by showing people what can be done with them...sample LOs. I can't tell you how many products I have bought after seeing a LO made with them that I never would have bought before then.

I have never used a kit, from this company, or from any company. But, from looking at the internet and the kits you have to offer. I would say that i like your kits.

I really like how you includ everything you would need to make a page in a kit.
But, i think something eles that you might want to include in diffrent colors or everything. I saw in one kit you included 48 pink brads in 3 diffrent colors. If someone wants the kit, but, does not want to use those color brads, they would have to get some new brads. So they only thing that you should add should be some diffrent color supplies.

Thanks!

Michelle.

I've never really purchased a kit. Seems like the price is always too high for the little stuff that is included. I think that if a kit had rub -ons, chipboard shapes and letters with it I would be more interested in buying. Most of the time there's not enough paper, 1 sheet per paper type in my opinion is not enough. There should be at least 2 of even paper be it patterned or solid.

Just my opinion if it matters at all.

On the site, are you planning to put together a Gallery, so people can show off what they have done with various kits, to inspire others' creativity? SInce you make past kits available, it would be fun to see what other people have done with the papers and embellishments. And maybe if products are included that Coconut Scrapshop doesn't sell, then info about said items like stamps and stamp pad colors could be included by the person submitting.

I found your site through your DT member, Pamela. The site is looking really good and I like that you have a blog to go along with it. I did notice that on alteast 3 (didn't check the others) of the kits the link to see what the entire kit includes brings up the same picture each time and it is not the correct kit. (hope that made sense)
My suggestion: I have two boys so I would really love a kit with lots of boy stuff...I always see so many cute girly things, and just can't seem to find enough boy stuff.

Hi Jen

thanks for your comment left on fake eye kits ! lol I see you really like kits ! lol

I've never used scrapbooking kits as I often buy my supplies in matching CS & themed embellishments myself.

So if drawing on my own experience I would say it would be great to have more variety embellishments versus quantity that coordinate with everything else in the kit . & some elements of surprise is always good ! like an unlikely vintage embellie or paper that matches etc

I also have not used your kits yet as i have been waiting till your forum opens and watching your blog every since hearing about you from Tabitha! anyways I like the piggy tales lines and I also like cordinating kits as others suggested! Also what would be nice is the Fancy pants felts!

I love the kits and how well everything coordinates together so beautifully! And the price is very reasonable. I love purchasing in kits because it takes the guess work out, and the running around trying to find things that match. The only improvement to me would be including 2 pieces of each paper. I like to coordinate both sides of my album with the same print so would prefer having matching pieces. Your choices of colors on the sets that I have seen have been scrumptious:)

I think at least 3 pieces of coordinating solid cardstock is great. I always get sad when I get 1 or none.
Also "out of the box" ideas are really fun! Like beads, contact paper, felt, wiggly eyes, LOL It's so much fun to find ways to use things you wouldn't normally use!

Your link to the store is not clickable with my browser (firefox) or it's not working. But what I would like to see is Melissa Frances items.

I like to see lots of coordinating paper and embellishments. Chipboard, brads, ribbon...and I love punches and stamps!

more solid coordinating cardstock and more alphas are my picks

I also think a combination of patterned paper, cardstock and some embellishments is ideal.
I don't like kits with a special theme. I mostly scrap travel pictures so I have nothing with a Christmas or Valentine kit.

I totally love your store and sent your link to my friends in Florida when Cheryl gave it to me (I visit her blog regularly, love that girl!) As an avid scrapper, one thing I look for in a kit(I do not buy them very often because I really like to put my own together)is matching embellishments for my paper (both card stock and dp should be included, at three sheets of each). I love brads, eyelets, ribbon, chipboard, and rub-ons. Also, kits that are dedicated to a theme such as a boy kit, or a girl kit are always awesome! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex

I have used a kit before..the book (4x6) was already made and it came with embellishments to decorate the pages..
die cuts
chipboard flowers
papers
ribbon
lace ( not enough)
buttons with thread
it was a fun project..added some small pictures and the embellishments...in fact I didn't use all the embellishments it came with...and used some of my own...but, I was happy with it...and now I have some leftovers.

I love kits and real kit manic when I see something I like. I belive in a kit should have cardstock with the kit and various embellishments but important alpha to make the layout complete. I love when you can add a mini stamp, chalk ink or paint into the mix it. I created a kit with that and sold like crazy plus adding a sketch or idea sheet would be cool. You can also experiment in doing add on's to the kit so people can add more cardstock, pp or embellishments to the kit. I really like altered kits too. I hope this helps!!!

Never used a kit but yours look great! I'm going go go look around! :)

Jen, love that you are asking our opinions... I think a forum/gallery would be the best thing to add.
But I do agree with Pamela about the noteworthy spiral notebooks!! A must have for me anyway. :)

I don't buy many kits because half the fun for me is choosing all the items that I like and think go together well! But what I look for in a kit are things I can use on other projects, not just that one. So while coordinating papers and embellishments are a must have, I look for things like ink pads, glitter, rub ons and other items that I will have left-overs of and are generic enough to get more than one use out of. Added value, you might say!

I found your site from yout new DT member Cheryl. I always do my layouts with two 12x12 pages so I would like for the kits tohave 2 pieces of each paper so I can have the same background to my layouts. I'd also be interested in layouts on pets if you could develop one of those. Great site, thanks!!!

Hi Jen! One thing I'd love to see in the store is Stickles!! I am addicted to them. I also love products from Imagination Project they are so hard to find in stores. As for the kits, I love fun embellishments like ribbon slides, transparencies, fabric flowers, and rhinestone words. I also love stamps and journal blocks.
Thanks!
Cheryl

of course a gallery and message board would be fantastic! I'd like to see a bigger selection of cardstock-different sizes and shapes, k&co is one of my favorite companies so I'd like to see more of their line
